 Who is Oöna?
Oöna was my grandmother, and bauble is a trinket, of the ironic sort. My bead design work is named Oönabauble after my grandmother, as a tribute to her. She liked to get dressed up in her pretty frocks and pearls, and took great care with her appearance, even when she was only going to sit all day in the living room and read the newspaper!
My work
I like to work with nice rocks - agates, quartz and semi-precious stones - that feel cool to the touch and catch the light in a wonderful way. I thank the people who have supported my endeavor and influenced my designs - Richard, Andy, Cherrie, Sig, Kim, Diane, Rebecca and Gay.
